On Sunday night I went to a Yom Hazikaron joint memorial service put on by Combatants For Peace, an organization of former Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants who are now working towards a peaceful solution.  Members from both sides of the conflict shared stories about loved ones they have lost in this conflict.

To close the event, a joint Palestianian-Israeli women’s choir sang a Hebrew and Arabic version of the Pesach song Had Gadya (translated from the Aramaic).  For your viewing pleasure.

May the memory of those lost be a blessing and a call to action for us all
